Research and Development
In 2017, the company carried out a Research and Development activity aimed at quantifying the convenience and effectiveness of the analyzed energy retrofits through a dynamic simulation on a case study.
At the end of 2017, also thanks to the aforementioned experience, MIRI won the tender for the Concession, under Project Financing, of the Energy Retrofit service for the Campania railway network, announced by EAV srl (a company of the Campania Region for the management of regional public transport).
In July 2020, AirCoDue S.r.l. was established, 90% controlled by MIRI, with a significant and strategic partner in the Engineering Design sector as a shareholder.
AirCoDue is an innovative start-up, with the specific aim of combining MIRI’s “traditional business” with the increasingly pressing “green” demands from markets and global policies. Its mission is the creation of a totally “ecological” air conditioning system, patented in ITALY (2 patents and a utility model extended to the markets of INDIA, USA, and the EU), with a particular focus on energy savings. Its applications can range from the railway sector to the naval, aeronautical, and civil sectors.
An exciting and forward-looking project, from which significant commercial impact is expected, positioning itself in a significant and innovative way in the various market sectors for which it was conceived.
In 2023, MIRI participated in the establishment of DeTherMiNa SpA, holding a 35% share in the company's capital, which is dedicated to the production of hydronic heat pumps using propane.
The newly established company, in line with increasingly stringent regulations regarding green energy, enters the market with a high-end and particularly innovative product, aiming to contribute to the decarbonization of terrestrial heating.
